A Few Notes – 10-19-18

Off

Hello Brethren!

I hope you’ve had a productive week!

Just some thoughts… “Is this not the fast that I have chosen: to loose the bonds of wickedness, to undo the heavy burdens… Then you shall call, and the LORD will answer; you shall cry, and He will say, ‘Here I am.’… The LORD will guide you continually, and satisfy your soul in drought, and strengthen your bones; you shall be like a watered garden, and like a spring of water, whose waters do not fail” (Isaiah 57:6-11).

As we fast tonight and tomorrow, let’s ask God to bless it for His people around the world. Let’s all ask a special blessing on the messages tomorrow that most of the Church will be streaming at the same time. Let’s ask that God help us grow in unity as one Body, and follow through with the direction and guidance from Mr. Weston.

Fathers and mothers and leaders in families, it is always powerful to sit down with our family in love and gentleness and talk about what we can change together. Committing to one or two changes we can make as a family to develop better habits that can help us draw closer to God and draw closer to one another is encouraging and helpful. Getting the kids or grandkids on board with further improving family dynamics and closeness can be very powerful!

Also, on a personal level, as we fast together, let’s focus on one sin or attitude we have been struggling with. We can study what attitudes or actions should replace that sin or attitude and we can ask God to give us strength to overcome it. We can ask Him in His mercy to root it out of our life and replace it with His goodness.

As we come out of the Feast, having clarified the vision of our purpose, let’s use this Church wide fast as another spiritual springboard. If we ask these things, God WILL do it!

Happy Sabbath!

Warm regards,

Mike DeSimone
